Dr Klaudia Szklarczyk-Smolana is a doctor of medical sciences specializing in medical biology, as well as the co-founder and CEO of Intelliseq—a bioinformatics company delivering flexible software solutions for genome-based medicine, including consumer genomics and precision medicine. She leads the promotion and commercialization of genetic diagnostics products, working closely with interdisciplinary teams of scientists, bioinformaticians, product designers, and developers.

Dr Szklarczyk-Smolana has participated in numerous national and European research projects funded by organizations such as the National Science Centre (NCN), the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW), and the European Regional Development Fund. At Intelliseq, she’s focused on building business models, marketing strategy, and facilitating the expansion of businesses to new markets. Beyond her business and scientific work, Dr Szklarczyk-Smolana is passionate about science communication. She is a member of the nationwide Spokesmen of Science (Rzecznicy Nauki) Society and collaborates as a lecturer and educational content creator.
