Lucyna Wozniak

Medical University of Lodz

Graduated from the Technical University of Łódź. After PhD from the Polish Academy of Sciences and a post-doc in Kings College London, she got habilitation (DSc.) from The Centre of Molecular and Macromolecular Studies Polish Academy of Sciences. From 2005 she became Professor at the Medical University of Lodz (https://en.umed.pl) working in the field of medicinal chemistry and molecular biology. Interested in molecular aspects of pregnancy induced diabetes (GDM) as an early predictor of type two diabetes in women population.
Vice rector of MUL since 2012, responsible for Science and International collaboration. Currently vice rector for International Collaboration (2024-2028).Director of the Healthy Ageing Research Centre, Medical University of Lodz since 2012.

Supervisory Board Member of EIT HEALTH (https://eithealth.eu )(Knowledge & Innovation Community-Active Life and Healthy Aging), the biggest platform for medicinal innovation with more than 160 partners. Member of the High-Level Group on maximising impact of EU Research and Innovation Programmes of European Commission (Pascal Lamy group https://digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu/en/library/report-results-work-high-level-group-future-use-uhf-band). Member of the Board of Directors of EWORA (European Women Rectors Association) and Perspektywy Foundation Running National and International Ranks in high Education.
